I am mostly inspired by natural forms and architectural details, seen, drawn and then interpreted into clay.

I make relief wall panels, sometimes with porcelain paper clay leaving them totally white and sometimes I add colour. I also enjoy making handbuilt sculptural forms using a variety of clays, from fine porcelain to course crank and exploring the possible finishes from smooth to torn and textured.

I fire in an elecric kiln often without glaze.

My degree was in fine art with additional ceramics and I have always kept both going in practice and as a tutor. At present I teach art and design plus City and Guilds Ceramics to Diploma level at Tonbridge AEC. My studio is at my home address.
